Writing blog posts

http://civilwarbummer.com/wp.php Its been about six weeks since the new Professional Solutions web site went live and now includes a News, Tips & Resources section for the first time and I have to say writing articles on a regular basis is not something that comes naturally to me.

Clovis I am trying to write new posts on a regular schedule, about every 5 to 10 days, this should give me a new post every week for people to read and to help prompt the search engines to re-index the site regularly.

Finding relevant subjects is the hardest part but as time goes on I suspect this will become easier as I build up a backlog of subjects.

The “relevant” part is a key word here. You could talk about the latest celebrity gossip or the price of potatoes and the key words that would include would undoubtedly bring more clicks, but with a high bounce rate.

So for now I am going to concentrate on sharing some favourite sites for getting content for websites, PC repair tips and the odd programming article, mostly about WordPress.

A good thing is, nowadays, a website can be updated pretty much anywhere so there is little excuse for you to say you just don’t have time. For example this was written while waiting for an MOT to complete on my current rust bucket at Redbourn MOT Centre. Not a shameless plug to try and influence the outcome of the MOT because my car passed before I hit publish, honest!

If you have any suggestions for future articles, please leave a comment and I will see what I can do.
